Focus Group Workshop 1/2025 on Proposed Amendments to the Strata Management Act 2013
On 19th and 20th May 2025, the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), through the National Housing Department (JPN), organized Focus Group Workshop 1/2025 to discuss potential amendments to the Second Schedule of the Strata Management Act 2013 (Act 757).
The workshop centered on bringing about procedural aspects for conducting hybrid and fully virtual Annual General Meetings (AGMs), including the implementation of e-voting.
Key considerations included establishing safeguards to ensure the integrity and auditability of online general meetings, ensuring they integrity of the meeting is preserved and can withstand legal challenge in court.
