On 2, 3 & 4 June 2025, the Commissioner of Buildings (COB) and representatives from 74 local authorities and representatives of the Strata Management Division, JPN, KPKT gathered in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, for a forum titled “Empowering the COBs.”
Key highlights:

✔ A proposal was introduced to develop a uniform FAQ guide for all COBs, ensuring greater clarity and consistency in enforcement.
This forum marks a significant step toward strengthening building governance within the strata regime in West Malaysia.
