In the course of gathering input from different stakeholders for purposes of amending the Strata Management Act 2013 and its regulations, on 19th and 20th November 2024, we had a small group discussion with the Lembaga Perumahan Hartanah Selangor and all 12 Commissioner of Buildings (“COB”) from the 12 local authorities within the state of Selangor.
On 13 December 2024, We also had another session to resolve some remaining issues, along with a bit of banter and laughter, hosted by Majlis Perbandaran Sepang.
CHA, led by Lai Chee Hoe discussed specific issues revolving around the powers given to COB and how to strengthen them.
