KPKT has recently published proposed guidelines for EV charger parking in Malaysia and sought public consultation through the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC)’s Unified Public Consultation (UPC) website (see attached). Based on the guidelines, it seems that KPKT is looking at banning EV chargers at individual parking lots and restricting the installation of public EV chargers at ground level to ease and facilitate Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Malaysia (JBPM) requirements.
